WHO I AM
I've been coaching actors privately and in group musical theatre classes in New York for 13 years. As a performer, I've done multiple Broadway shows, tours and lots of regional theatre. I have studied extensively with many of our industry's most respected master teachers and am a graduate of CCM and LAMDA. The coaching I offer is a synthesis of all of my training combined with what I've learned as a professional on the job. And it's always centered around what you need on any given day.

WHAT IS SONG WORKSHOP?
An acting class using material material. We emphasize rehearsal and not a final product and focus on investigating your unique gifts and challenges. It's a place for singers to take the acting of their songs to the next level as well as a place for dancers and actors to become more comfortable singing in front of people. We strive to create a safe and non-judgmental space where everyone can explore freely.
Bring in anything you would like to work on. Full songs are encouraged. Denis can also suggest material for you.

WHAT IS AUDITION SIDES WORKSHOP?
In this class, we will practice preparing the scenes you are given for auditions or callbacks. I will send you sides from a musical or play (your choice) approximately one week before class. It's like private audition coaching, only in a group where we can learn from each other. We will look at how to physically use the room for live auditions, make self-tapes for theatre, work with your reader in both situations and discuss navigating the current audition landscape in general.
PRIVATE COACHING
In-Person in NYC or on Zoom for Theatre and Musical Theatre.

We do not offer coaching for TV/Film but are always happy to share some of our favorite resources for that.
ABOUT OUR STUDIO MANAGER
Ruthy is an actress, coach, and has performed in 41 states to date. She is a Los Angeles native and holds a BFA in Drama with a minor in producing from NYU/Tisch. Select Credits Include: Fiddler on the Roof (1st National Tour & The Gateway Playhouse), The Secret Garden (ACT of CT), TV/FILM: “Meltdown: Three Mile Island” (NETFLIX), and “Gotti.” Ruthy has been working with Denis for 3 years and is thrilled to be the Studio Manager.
